Influence of native and exotic tree plantations on biophysical indicators in the Brazilian Savanna

ABSTRACT The monitoring of biophysical indicators can show the conservation or recovery status a landscape. This study aimed to analyze influence tree plantations on dynamics (albedo, NDVI, surface temperature and evapotranspiration), in an experimental area Cerrado biome (Brazilian Savanna), by applying remote sensing techniques SEBAL algorithm. were given as function changes land use, while assessing response environment planting species. data areas that underwent use cover during this period analyzed. In surroundings area, albedo decreased agricultural exposed soil converted plantations, NDVI evapotranspiration increased. opposite happened conversion native destined agriculture livestock. it was confirmed contributed not only decrease temperature, but also increase evapotranspiration. confirms positive rural properties support environmental regularization more sustainable systems. Moreover, highlights potential technique applied assist ecosystems larger than those commonly monitored field.
